Without Faith...
Sometimes the only thing you have to hold onto is the memory of faith. It's been a long dry spell for me recently, and even that memory was starting to fade. Then I got a note from The Universe yesterday. It's such a relief to know we're still on speaking terms. When things get too quiet for too long, you start to think maybe you've just been talking to yourself all this time. Faith isn't supposed to require proof, but any relationship that grows too one-sided will lose it's luster. I just need the occasional sign that there's more than this. I don't think that's asking too much. It's not like I haven't been actively looking for it ...recently, with the desperation of a drowning woman looking for a lifeline.
Dear Universe,
Hope you had a nice vacation. Next time, drop me a postcard now and then please. Hey, you don't like it when I stop talking to you either. I really missed you.
-Jen
Moving on...
I learned a few things last night playing with my new glass:
- Dangerous hobbies are not the best way to pass the time when you're mentally exhausted. ...No damage this time, just a few scary moments of "DAMN! That was STUPID!!!"
- Clean everything first, then clean it again. Debris will cause a lot of frustration!
- P-208 Anise White glass requires *A LOT* of foreplay (slow and gently pre-heating)! ...There was a lot of glass flying while I figured that one out.
- A vinegar soak does an acceptable job of dissolving bead release, and is a lot less toxic than lime scale remover.
Ok. On with my day then. Lots to do before vacation ...before that desperately needed vacation! So close now!
